It's like I said, some guy shows up and now I'm on a flatbed, very embarrassing I might add. Such a long drive, now I'm stuck in some busy area. I don't know what's gonna happen next, cautiously optimistic remember...
People were pointing at me while I was on the flatbed, I figure they're laughing at my predicament. I drove onto this flatbed under my own power I'll have you know, so stick it...
I find myself in a scary parking structure with a bunch of other cars. I'm not used to this, I want my garage back. This is the kind of place you get murdered, and it smells like trash. I'm afraid this isn't a very good start. Maybe it's temporary, if I had fingers I'd cross them...
My owner "tried" to fix my tail lights today, but he took all of his tools, and he left. Now I have panels off where panels were once firmly in place. Hope that chump pays someone that knows what they're doing so we can get this sorted out...
OK, I take back what I said about the chump that owns me. He split yesterday, and took all of his tools with him, I figured I was being left to rot. Thankfully, he came back today bright eyed and bushy tailed with a fresh idea. Maybe the dimmer switch going to the aftermarket radio is tripping the dash and tail lights, he was right. Like duh, he should have just asked me...
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Yeah, the seats get a lot of attention. I believe this was 83-84 only, and it's called charcoal / burnt orange-red, delightful...
I confess, when my owner dumped me on the street the other day, I was pissed. I now realize that I was scheduled to see a mechanic. I got a whole bunch of odds and ends done, and now I'm apparently "safe to drive"... seems to me I was driving fine before. I even got new shoes, a staggered set up, 245 on the back, all is forgiven...
Finally, I'm a somebody... Until today, I've had some silly permit on the front window flapping in the wind. One guy even pointed out my missing license plates in traffic, so embarrassing. It was just a matter of time until I got attention from the fuzz. Now I have some plates and I can just sort of blend in. Great story too.. apparently this knucklehead owned a Camaro many years before, and these were his plates. Sloppy seconds, I'm honoured...
Finally, somebody gave me a bath. I'm a classy lady, how embarrassing to be left in such filth. Unfortunately, the new owner has now seen how bad my seals leak, eek, I hope he doesn't sell me, I definitely don't want to be on the back of an other tow truck. Us old girls leak, tell him ladies. Thankfully, I overheard him say he's ordering new rubber... just wait until he finds out what a nightmare that is to change...
Can you even believe this dummy took me out in the rain? The pouring rain no less... that's no way to treat a lady. Now I've been parked, and left to get all moldy. Maybe he'll take me for another car wash when the rain stops... a girl can dream...
Oh good, my first repair. My temperature gauge was pegging, but there were no other signs of trouble. The good old temp gun suggests no emergency, so it's the gauge or the sending unit. I hope this guy knows what he's doing. I see he's going to try the sending unit first...
Success, that seemed to get me in a better range, but I do still get a tad warm. My radiator has seen better days, and my fan is the 3 blade variety. Don't get me started on the fan clutch, looks about 42 years old. That might be the next stop...
So ding dong takes me to some parking lot and treats me like a zoo animal. Geez, some of these girls are in really good shape, and here I am with my wrinkles and old age spots, how embarrassing. I did get some positive attention because people like a girl that hasn't been all chopped up, so I guess that's something. Met some nice people, and saw some sweet rides.
Yup, that's dumbass petting me, like I'm a dog or something. He also talks to me you know... never when his wife is around, but when she's gone, oh my. I never talk back, but that doesn't stop him. Another product of the Knight Rider generation I suppose. I guess it could be worse, at least he drives slow like an 80 year old.
Listen... the ladies will tell you, when you get to be my age, you get a little hot sometimes. I'm a "Sunny Weather" kinda gal, but I'm no fan of stop and go traffic. Boy does it ever get my temperature up. Moron dragged me to that locker again, and I was skeptical. He hunted down a 5 blade fan near Barrie, wire brushed it, painted it, and installed a new clutch, seems to have done the trick. Maybe he's only half a moron.
So this is the dork that owns me now. Sometimes I miss that sweet older lady that owned me before, at least she mostly left me alone. This guy is always poking and prodding at me, and he pushes me a little hard sometimes. I guess I could be a bit nicer to him, after all, I did need a bit of attention, and at least he's giving me that attention, he's still a dork though.
Well I sure as hell got treated like a queen today. I've been rotting away in that locker all week, but meathead showed up today and gave me a full bath, vacuum, windows, tire pressure, and I even got my first tattoo. Damn I'm getting to be one sexy girl. I overheard him talking about an oil change tomorrow, I'm in heaven.
All good things I guess... he dumped me back at the locker today, now he's taking The Princess to use all week. Why he prefers that bucket of bolts over me as a full time ride is a mystery, I mean it's barely even a car. Shut up, I'm not jealous, you're jealous.
Oh yeah, this is the life... I got that oil change I was hearing about last week, and now I'm parked in an outside spot, which means I'm going for a drive on this beautiful day, so happy.
I had the chance to be around my peeps again today... anything to get out of that damn storage locker. I also overheard meathead talking about a two car garage... I think we're moving next week. Great, now he's going to be picking at me constantly.
OMG!! Wait until you get a load of this. He took his wife for breakfast, and demanded a window seat so he could "keep an eye" on me. Loser spent half the time staring out here at me, even now it looks like he's taking a photo. His poor wife deserves better, she got all dressed up and everything, she should leave him. #divorce
Okay, a lady could get used to this. Remember when I mentioned a garage? Well here it is. No more storage locker, no more underground parking with all of those inferior "cars"... just my own space. Well, sort of, I have to share my space with that electric monstrosity that imbecile insists on driving, but so far he's been parking her outside. Ha! Take that bitch!
So idiot comes charging in the garage armed with a butter knife, and that ridiculous light he wears on his head. At first I was concerned, but after a few minutes I realized what he was doing. You see, his seatbelt was pretty worn out, and it didn't latch well. In a crash, he would have went flying, I'd have laughed. Now both front seat belts are as good as new thanks to a kit from Hawks.
Hey... I'm in Barrie. This is the longest drive this dummy has brought me on so far. If he'd asked me, I would have said that I would rather stay home. But now that I'm here, I guess it was a fun drive. Some peculiar and shady looking people in this town, if he's going to leave me in a parking lot he'd better put the damn roof on.
Look, it's not freezing yet, but this is the Northern Hemisphere in October. So we're leaving Barrie last night, and I'm totally waiting for that dummy that owns me to put the T-Tops on. It was dark, and chilly, and we had a long drive including major highways...nope. He fires up the motor, and away we go. His poor wife had to wrap up in a blanket, and even he had to put his hood up. I couldn't help but think about what other motorists were seeing and thinking, might be something like a scene from a movie.
Oh boy, guess the party's really starting now. Parts are in the mail, and the hood is off. I'm officially disabled in this spot until that knucklehead figures out how to put all this shit back together. Somebody should let him know that disassembly is the easy part, and he should try not to break his wrist patting himself on the back over the work he completed today.
Like seriously dude, you're 100 years old, how are you ever gonna get that hood back on?
It sure takes a lot for that bum that owns me to be happy, but he couldn't help but smile when this load of goodies showed up.
You're looking at a cap and coil, water pump, EGR, fuel pump, ignition module, and a few miscellaneous bits, that should keep him busy for a while.
OMG, what is this idiot smiling about? I'm here in shambles, meanwhile, before this guy started ripping into me, I seemed to work perfectly fine. Somebody better help this guy, summer is around the corner. It's been fun watching him fumble around, but the clock is ticking.
The fuel pump went on, as did the water pump. He even changed all the fuel lines and filters, but we've got a long way to go. Vacuum lines aren't gonna save you from this mess. At least there's a rumor going around that I'm gettin a radiator, fingers crossed.
Here are a few old photos of the dork that owns me with his old car. The guy can't even get me my own licence plates, I'm stuck with her sloppy seconds. I'm not jealous, you're jealous.
Bitch got smashed up anyway... I hope things turn out better for me. It actually wasn't his fault, so at least that's something. See more in photos
So I overheard that idiot say he's going to butcher my fan shroud to fit that stupid radiator. Well, that's not exactly what he said, but I'm expecting the worst. This radiator belongs in a Nova or Chevelle, maybe a Camaro, but not my generation.
The only radiator he could find that fits was plastic garbage and tiny. Also, he just insists on keeping the mechanical fan, I mean what is the obsession? A perfectly good set of electric fans would do the job, but no, he resists at every turn. First he replaced the fan with a five blade, then the clutch, and now this, good grief, life doesn't need to be this difficult. Wish me luck.
Oh man, I'm in for it now. What is this idiot even doing?? My radio was working, now there's an embarrassing hole in my dash board again, and meathead over there is standing in his pajama bottoms, with his old man glasses, looking at schematics.
Like that moron has any clue what's going on, good grief, I don't think I'm going to be recovering from this one. see more here
So a girl got a bit of sun for the first time in many months, it was quite nice. When meathead started talking about replacing all those bits and pieces, and then ripped me apart, I'll admit, a girl was worried. I figured I'd be just another lost project, left to rot in a cold garage. Nope, here I am outside... I'm pretty naked but I'm outside. I sure hope he's gonna get the hood on soon. I mean, if he even attempts to leave the street like this, I'm stalling.
