Front Signals

So the car took a hit on the front passenger side in 2015, long before I owned it. When I was looking it over, I noticed that the front signal lights were a mess. Not only did they not line up with their respective openings, but the passenger side one sat an inch back, and was flapping in the wind.

Truth is, the crash bar needs more work, it needs to be pulled out more, but the car looks great, and I don't want to start pulling it apart. Instead, I decided to change the mounting points of the lights so no one will ever notice.

The first step was to remove both signal lights so I could see what I'm dealing with. Once they were out, I could see why they were flopping around. Most of the mounting points were broken due to the age of the plastic, and the residual crash damage.

Now that I know what I'm dealing with, I made a plan. Obviously all the existing mounts needed to go. They're in the wrong place, and they're useless anyway. After some fumbling around, and measuring twice, I made new mounting brackets using stuff I had laying around. I also gave the plastic lens a wet sand to remove paint, and years of damage. Is it perfect, nope, I'll just make sure I don't ask.
